D.C. Briefing on Florida Waterways Issues

Congressman Murphy has been working to organize a meeting on Capitol Hill to make sure Congress is paying attention to the serious issues facing the St. Lucie River and Estuary as well as the Indian River Lagoon. This briefing, co-hosted by Reps. Patrick Murphy (FL-18) and Trey Radel (FL-19) will serve as an opportunity for local stakeholders to make their voices heard by Congress and Administration officials. We will discuss the serious problem Lake Okeechobee discharges are causing, the impacts these releases are having on local communities and economies, and what solutions must be pursued. By bringing together all parties across all levels of government and in the impacted communities, the goal of this briefing is to find ways we can work together toward real solutions to a problem that has gone on for too long.

The briefing will be held on October 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in room 2167 of the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill.
Please RSVP by Friday, September 27th by filling out the below form.  Please complete the form for each individual attending to allow for an accurate headcount of attendees. If you have additional questions, please call 202-225-3026.
